Carol and Warren Gustin met in Shreveport, Louisiana in 1958 and married that same year in Rayville, Louisiana (Carol's hometown). They settled in North Little Rock, after Warren's honorable discharge from the Air Force. They have two sons, Charles and Jeffrey (married to Sheri) and two grandsons, Kent and Andrew, all members of NLR FUMC.
Prior to settling in Arkansas, they were members of Leggett Memorial United Methodist Church, sadly blown away during Hurricane Katrina. Carol was the treasurer of that church for many years, and Warren served on the SPR committee.
They have been members of this church over ten years and members of the Builders Class almost that long, with Carol currently serving as secretary of the class.
